About this Course

This camp is suitable for the complete beginner as well as the continuing sewists. Day 1 of camp will cover all the basic sewing skills needed to make a pair of pajamas! Campers will end day 1 making a drawstring bag to take home. We will spend days 2-5 constructing a pair of pajamas with an elastic waist band. Campers will be introduced to using patterns, fabric layout, cutting and marking and completing a project with finishing techniques like seam finishes and pressing. A beautiful pair of pajama pants will be finished. The last day of camp we will make a matching throw pillow with our scraps. Please bring the following to camp on the first day. 21/2 yards of non-stretch fabric like cotton or flannel, 1 16” pillow form, 1 spool of matching thread. Campers may repeat this camp as many times as they like making pajamas for the whole family or more for themselves! Bring water and a nut-free snack to class.
